And we have… lift off!
The first Network for Learning Meeting was held at the University of Antwerp on April 29, 2014. What started as a small initiative for a few network researchers quickly grew to a fantastic group of enthusiastic scholars from 6 countries and 18 universities.
The program included:
* 8 roundtable presentations in 4 parallel sessions
* 2 software workshops on analyzing social networks using R (by Tobias Hölterhof, University of Duisburg-Essen) and UCINET (by Alan Daly, University of California, San Diego and Nienke Moolenaar, Utrecht University)
* A keynote lecture by Alan Daly and Piet Van den Bossche
* 6 paper presentations in 2 parallel sessions
* 2 topic-based Q&A sessions in groups
… and lots of time to discuss recent projects involving the study of social networks in learning environments.
Thank you Sara Van Waes and Piet Van den Bossche for hosting the First Network for Learning meeting!
